Default Should we have executed Viva Leroy Nash?

Viva Leroy Nash died earlier this month after spending over 70 years of his life in prison for various charges. He died at the age of 94. He was 27 years into his current incarceration after being sentenced to death in 1983 for a 1982 murder. You can read about him here: Leroy Nash - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Should he have been executed prior to his natural death? Should society have spent millions keeping him incarcerated? Should anyone be executed for murder?
