Spark notes does a good thoroug job when you need a little help. I use it even after I read books to help me understand it a bit more because it really does point out a lot of details that you miss when you're reading. I never use it to really cheat though.

I hated this book...The Pearl is about some guy and his wife on the run from something...and the Pearl brings bad joo joo to him and his wife.
It was over 2 years ago that I last read it, and I vaguely remember anything.

Yeah the guy is a pearl diver and he one day finds the perfect pearl, perfectly round and everthing. Then he needs to sell it becuase his kid gets bit by a deadly spider or something and the need the money to pay the doctor. Then they go to lots of guys that buy that kind of stuff and they try to cheat him out of the price and they try and kill him or something and i think they end up killing his son..
