Are any of you guys going to get either of these games? and more importantly.. can your PC run either of them?

I'll be getting both, and lets hope my 9800 Pro can handle the very high graphics.

I got a new computer a few weeks ago, and I think it can run them. But I'm not planning on getting them.

I've had Doom 3 pre-ordered for over six months.

I'll be partaking of the orgasmic goodness that is Half-Life 2, but probably not Doom 3. At least not for a while. I'm kinda disappointed that they didn't evolve the gameplay the same way they evolved the graphics and immersion. Blowing up aliens is all well and good, but I did that in the last two Doom titles.

Anyway, HL2 looks GREAT.
