I'm a fan of the first 7 presidents. Don't know their names, but they're the REAL first 7. George Washington was the 8th president, biatch.

Well, as it goes most of the time, the victor writes history. Clearly the federalist beat the anti-federalist and so all those presidents were stricken from the record. Technically they weren't president anyway because the term 'president' has changed alot from the Articles of the Confederation to the Constitution. Apples an oranges. ;)

2. They were still presidents. Sure, the Articles failed miserably, but they were still presidents.

They were not presidents of the United Sates of America. They were presidents of the Continental Congress. The argument that those 7 men were presidents won't hold up in any debate if people who actualy know what they are talking about are involved.

They were presidents of the USA, though they were voted in by the Contonental Congress. It was a different process, but they were still presidents.
