Default I want a dog now.

Next month after I complete my back surgery, my plans are to buy a new car and buy a pet as well. I think I want a dog, cats are ok but I prefere adog.

What kind of dog should I get? So far I have my eyes set on a Bulldog or Rockweiler. I dont want a real energectic dog because im more of a layed back person. It seems the bulldog will fit me, what do you guys think? Here is a site i've been at while researching the type of dog to get

One of my dogs died this morning....

Golden Retriever, beautiful dog and mine lasted 16 years. The chart said high activity, which you don't want though. But mine seemed pretty calm except for as a puppy.

Oh yeah, most dogs inherit a personality just like their owner. I wouldn't worry too much, just don't get a husky/lab mix like my other dog. She's 10 and still acts like a puppy.

I have narrowed my search down to the following dogs (these will be bought as puppies)
  1. Staffordshire Bull Terrier click here
  2. Pug click here
  3. Boston Terrier click here
My new girlfriend would like to see me get a male and female Bichon Frise click here. It kinda sucks that these are going at least $1200 a piece.

If all else fails I may look into getting a Rott Weiler
