The new iPod and...
Has anyone seen the new video iPod? A 60 GB that's actually smaller than the 4th (or 5th?) gen 20 gig iPod. Now THAT is something.
I don't think I'll get it though. Maybe in a year, whatever is hot then. Right now I'm gonna get one..monster..laptop! Thanks to penny arcade, otherwise I wouldn't have found widowpc.com.
Anyhoo, in iTunes, I was wondering if any of you know how to make some songs NOT play when I shuffle?

Fucking iPod video piece of shit, everyone creams their jeans over the fucking things when there has been a lot better portable hard drive video players around that actually last longer then a few hours when you play videos.

Uncheck the blue box next to the song name.

Thanks!!! I was wondering if that would do it. This helps alot since I have a healthy dose of shit music that I put there for others.
And I agree with you Shane, I have seen better portable MP3 players, and better video players than the iPod. Only reason people buy the 'pod is advertising I guess.

Video iPod? Screw that piece of shit. Other companies had video mp3 players for a long time and would you want to watch videos on that tiny screen?
iPods are too overrated and are crap. Go get an iriver...made specially in Korea.

While I agree with you that iPods are overrated, I thought I'd point out something.
You said to check out the iriver. Well, here are the 3 different iriver products capable of playing videoes:
U10 512MB
U10 1GB
PMC-120
The first, the U10 512MB, is $200 for 512MB, on a 2.2" screen. The U10 1GB is $250 for 1GB on a 2.2" screen. In comparison, the new iPod has a 2.5" display, and is $300 for 30GB or $400 for 60GB. Quite frankly, it's a better buy than either of the U10s unless you're strapped for cash. For $50, you get a bigger screen and 30 times the capacity.
The last option, the PMC-120, is iriver's multimedia machine. For $500, you can get 2/3 the space of the smaller iPod for an increase in price of 66%, or 1/3 the space of the larger iPod for an increase in price of 25%. While the screen size is bigger, at 3.5", I personally don't see that worth it. If I wanted a very portable video player, and my choices are the new iPod or these 3 iriver products, I'd go with the video iPod, unless I just didn't have $300.
Considering you're complaining about the tiny screen, the option that you suggested with a larger screen is way too expensive.

I am choosing a PSP with 1 GB memory stick over all of them as my portable video player (and portable GTA), I just wont be able to store it full of shit which wont bother me anyway as I will only use it in the train to Uni next year and the file sizes are dramatically smaller once you convert it to the PSP compatible format.

You sure they become smaller? I think a bit has changed with the video capabilities of the PSP, but when I first got it, I took a 40MB video and tried to put it on my PSP, after converting it was over 100MB.

Damn. Try the conversion guide for it over at gamespot.com
Last time I checked, you didn't have to be an insider for it.
Btw, does anybody have a better site than www.widowpc.com for buying laptops? And NOT alienware. So far, it seems I'll get a laptop from them. Something like:
3.2 Ghz Processor
80 to 100 GB HDD
3 GB DDR2 RAM
7800 GTX, or ATI X850 for a graphics card (Maybe even the 6800 or x800)
They have this new dual core laptop. It's a real monster, but the price is a little out there. With an initial price tag of about $3,900. No way my parents would get me that.
