Default FS2004 crashing my computer

G'Day List.

I just loaded FS2004. Intel PIV 2.4Ghz 1 GB RAM.
The program launches fine but crashes the computer after 2 or 3 minutes.
Any thoughts anyone?

Thanks

Run the tests in the DirectX diagnostic, use the diagnostic's built in
function to save the information to your hard drive and post segments of
the resulting file here. If you include file segments that list you
video and sound accelerator models and driver versions, main RAM
quantity, CPU model and speed and DirectX version others with similar
equipment can compare your system settings to theirs.

To run the diagnostic, hold down the Windows logo key while typing an
"R" (for "Run"). Then type "dxdiag" in the resulting dialog.

There is also a possibility the CPU or video accelerator chip in your
system is overheating. Graphics intensive applications like the
simulator increase the workload on those two chips and can make it
necessary to disipate more heat. Many motherboards are designed to shut
down when sensors built into these two components detect distructive
tempretures. Some manufacturers include software to display these
tempretures on their driver CDs or make tempreture display software
available in the support or download sections of their websites. There
are also tempreture display functions in third party applications like
Lavalys' free Everest Home Edition
