Oh really? Thanks for the news.

They never went bankrupt. They just didn't see it economically viable to continue supporting the DC when casual/mainstream gamerspeople prefered graphics to gameplay and bought PS2s in droves.

But every now and then there are post-mortem releases in Japan

(mostly 2D shooters)
Ikaruga came out in 2002
Border Down came out September 2003
Puyo Puyo Fever came out in February 2004.
Psyvariar 2 came out in February 2004
Chaos Feild is Slated for release soon.

There is also a thriving Homebrew scene. Basically it's just a bunch of Fan-Made games that you can burn to a CD-R and play for free. "Beats of Rage", "Smash DC", and "Noiz2a" are my faves.

Other than the games already mentioned in this thread, what are some other good games for Dreamcast? I'm going to get one soon, and would like some good games.

I think Dreamcast would be too old to get now..Seeing how powerful the XBOX, Ps, are BH. And look at it this way...Buying it would be a waste of money since XBOX 2 and PS 3 are coming out, and it would be totally outdated..Unless you can find a dreamcast for $30.00 at a yard sale or shop ...cool I would even buy it at that price.

I don't plan on getting X-BOX 2, and I'm going to wait until the price drops on the PS3. Plus, I can get a Dreamcast and one game for $40 at gamestop.com.

How do you know about those releases ? Do you have a website ? If so what is it ?

Of course there are many, click on these to see an honest review as well. There's the Crazy Taxi games, but I think 3 is on X Box, and they get boring after a while. Here's the list: (know that in some of these pages the screenshots don't do the games justice, in others you're gonna have to overlook the slightly outdated graphics):
Ecco The Dolphin Oh, brings back memories.

Grandia II This RPG rocked.

Jet Grind Radio Super cool style, fun gameplay.

MDK 2 The PS2 version might be better.

Power Stone Lotsa fun !!

Power Stone 2 Better graphics, up to four players.

Resident Evil Code: Veronica One of the best R.E. games ever. The PS2 version is called X.

Shenmue Get part II on the X Box if you have it. Otherwise get the European version, which has Japanese voices that sound better than the English on X Box. Part 2 is even better. But the story of one is esential.

Skies Of Arcadia An RPG slightly on the creative side.

Sonic Adventure Sonic in great 3D. Part 2 is also out.

Soul Calibur Better than part 2. One of the best fighting games ever.

Virtua Tennis I think it has a part 2...

Worms World Party Best 2D worms game ever. Get this on your PC.

Berserk A different game on the PS2 is on the way, don't play this or the other if you haven't seen the anime. NO MATTER WHAT ! Actually, skip this one on the DC.

Omikron I enjoyed this game. See if it's on another system, check out other reviews.

Here's a decent amout of reviews: http://www.gamespot.com/dreamcast/reviews.html

I feel like I forgot a few games...But I guess this is better than nothing. I didn't mention a number of sports' games since many newer titles are better. I hope this helps.

Speaking of the X Box 2, I'm gonna post a few impressive tech demos for the system. Check out the Hot New Trailers thread in this section. The videos are pretty cool.

You can get imports like Chaos Field and Psyvariar 2 at various import sites such as http://www.lik-sang.com

Scandalous' list was very good. I agree with his picks.
and MDK 2 looks better on Dreamcast than PS2. The control layout is much better on PS2 though.
