Default Sequels that are better than the first
On average sequels usually never compare to the first movie. but sometimes they are even better. Two that come to my mind are

Blade 2
T2
Godfather 2


What are some others?

Lord of The Rings, part two. Even better was 3. Though I kinda prefer part 2.

Yeah, I can't believe I forgot Empire. Best out of the original star wars flicks.
There's also X Men 2.

I have liked the sequels God father, Spiderman and Terminator more than the original.

Most of the original and first movie is better than their sequels. i like both spiderman and spiderman 3. but i think harry potter sequels are better than the first - harry potter 3 and 4.
