Default Doom 3

Has anybody been keeping up on the developement of Doom III. Im a UT fan, but I think Doom is gonna kick Unreal Tournament in the ass when its released. Rumors have it that the Xbox version of Doom 3 will look better than the PC version.

(sorry for the bump, I haven't been here in a while)

Doom III and the Unreal Tournament series are a world apart. Doom III is more like an FPS version of Silent Hill (or Resident Evil, if you're unfamiliar with SH).

Now, the release date is very likely (PC version on August 3rd, yes, this year), and I have mine reserved... we probably won't see the Xbox version until very late in the year. However, Doom 3 for the Xbox is not a port, it's made specifically for the Xbox, so don't expect it to be 'dumbed-down' if you pick up the PC version. It won't really look better, I'm sure, but for the most part, I'm hoping for on-par graphics and very stable gameplay...
