Default E-Bay Bids for 360 top $4000.00

Wow people are crazy. The X-Box is not a limited edition item.

X-Box 360 and E-Bay

Microsoft'sRelevant Products/Services from Microsoft Xbox 360 Latest News about Xbox 360 video game machine is already sold out on some Web sites, including Wal-Mart's Latest News about Wal-Mart, a sign the company may have shortages when the console goes on sale this month.

Wal-Mart's site tells people to go to a store at midnight Nov. 22, the day Xbox is released in the United States.

Amazon.com Latest News about Amazon.com says the system is unavailable in the United States and warns United Kingdom buyers they may not get it by the holidays. Bids on eBay Latest News about eBay reached as high as $4,100.

Microsoft, the world's biggest software maker, is counting on the Xbox 360 to snatch sales from Sony's Latest News about Sony PlayStation. Redmond, Wash.-based Microsoft may not be able to capitalize on the demand should too few units be available.

"People are going to have to go to extreme measures to get an Xbox 360," said Evan Wilson, a computer-games analyst at Pacific Crest Securities in Portland, Ore. He said he doesn't own Microsoft shares or rate the stock. "From Microsoft's perspective, they would have liked to get out more units."

Microsoft plans to ship 4.5 million to 5.5 million Xbox units, which start at $300, by June, which would generate at least $1.35 billion in sales.

Chief Financial Officer Chris Liddell said there would be shortages and played down the prospect of a spike in demand. The company is "on track" with plans, he said.

Well... if I had one, I'd sure as hell be selling it.

In fact, those of you who pre-ordered your Xbox 360? Sell it. Because it is going to sell out, and people may pay double for what you paid.

Especially a good idea for people who are initially disappointed with the machine.

Yeah definately. What is going to be funny though is people are now going to pre-order ps3s hoping to do the same thing and the demand won't be there.

It is crazy. If I had one on order I would definately sell it. You will be able to buy one in a few months anyways. And pocket several thousand dollars. Crazy!

Default Ps3

I bet PS3 would be alot more expensive. Because sony said the PS3 would have 7 CPU processors and going to use blue ray discs.

So I hope PS3 would be alot less popular too.

I believe the intent is the PS3 will be more expense. I don't think Sony has clearly worked out their launch strategy yet, since Microsoft moved up the X-Box basically giving them a lot of time to screw around.

Apple doesn't have the cash to launch a console and support it like MS did. You have to remember that they lose money on every console sold and make it back through games. MS already had a pretty established game publishing division.

As for ebay, a lot of those crazy bids was from shill bidders. I saw a lot of $1500 sales with bidders who had zero feedback. Now they're selling premium sets for $800-900. I wathced this a lot since I was looking to sell mine but I might have to wait when it's closer to xmas.
